Platform overview
MaaCare is a maternal health companion for pregnancy and postpartum. It combines everyday tracking, community support, emergency tools, and an AI assistant that speaks English and বাংলা (Bangla).
Version 0.1.0 runs as a web app built with Next.js and Supabase, with AI processing on the server only.
What problem MaaCare addresses
Many parents and caregivers lack clear, continuous guidance between clinic visits. Medical paperwork can be hard to understand. Emergency numbers and nearby hospitals are not always easy to find when stress is high. Generic health apps rarely tie together pregnancy context, bilingual chat, community, and report explanation in one place.
MaaCare brings these into a single experience while making it clear that the product supports education and self-care; it does not replace a doctor.
Who MaaCare is for
Expectant parents tracking their own pregnancy journey.
Partners and caregivers who support someone through pregnancy or postpartum (with consent-based sharing).
Clinicians and students who use the app in a learning or professional context (profile fields reflect this).
Community members who want peer support through posts, comments, and direct messages.
Operators with an admin role who moderate content, manage the knowledge library, and adjust feature flags.
Core value
Personalized guidance grounded in your profile, logs, and curated health knowledge. Structured tools for vitals, symptoms, planning, and reports. Safety-oriented copy and quick paths to emergency help. Bilingual UI and chat where possible.
Important disclaimer
MaaCare is not a substitute for qualified clinical care. AI answers are for education and support. In an emergency, contact local emergency services and use the in-app Emergency area.
